All's Well That Ends Well.

Well,
I've heard a lot around forums that most of the big companies have finally started detecting NSIS Media (like Spybot, Ad-aware, etc.). So I don't think there will be anymore BIG updates on this site. I will keep it online and I will update it if needed. So, keep fighting the good fight.

NEW NSIS MEDIA EXTENSION REMOVER!

Hello,
I've been looking around now for someone or a company that would make a "NSIS Media Remover". And just today, I found one. Just click the link below and download and scan. Also, I don't know how well this works, so personally, I would still download TrojanHunter and scan with that also.

NEW UPDATE!!!!!! 9-13-06

Hello Everyone,
I have heard rumors on forums about NSIS Media that there is a new version of the Trojan out. And when you try to remove it with TrojanHunter, it crashes when it tries to rename and remove it. The forum that I most look at (and started) about NSIS Media is on the MozillaZine Forum page.

Link: http://www.forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=432846

The latest post on that forum before mine is by a user by the name of OJdrinker. He said the same thing about TrojanHunter crashing and to use Process Explorer instead (link to download below). The only problem is that when it worked for him, he deleted two .dll files and he doesn't know which was the NSIS Media Trojan one. But, he said that his computer is fine now and he did remember the two .dll files he deleted. They are: wmidtex.dll  {and}  webhits.dll.

HOPE IT HELPS!!

What To Do To Remove NSIS Media Extension.

I was one of the unfortune people that got infected with NSIS Media, and after MANY hours of both Sweat and Blood I finally found a way to get rid of it! Here is what you do:

1) Download TrojanHunter.       LINK:  http://www.misec.net

2) Update and check everything and do a Full Scan.

3) It should find a Trojan in your Memory connected to your explorer.exe named something like "Adware.Cydoor.exe".

4) Then after your scan, it will rename it, and delete it.

                                                                                      THAT'S IT!!!!!!!!!!
